Tyler Perry opens up to Oprah about being abused

Tyler perry appeared on Oprah yesterday and opened up about being sexually and psychically abused as a child. 

Til this day, I don’t know why he did it. But I remember him cornering me in a room and hitting me with this vacuum cleaner cord. He would just not stop. There are all these welts on [me], the flesh that’s coming from my bone, and I had to wait for him to go to sleep,” Tyler says. “When he fell asleep, I ran to my aunt’s house, and she was mortified when she saw it.

Tyler also revealed that he was six the first time his neighbor molested him.  They were building a birdhouse and the man put his hands down his pants. " I'm thinking, what is this?. ' And I felt my body betraying me, because I felt an erection at that age"  Not too long after that Tyler was molested by a male nurse at his church.  The man used the bible against him to justify a lot of the things that were going on.

When Tyler was 10 years old he was molested by his friends mother.  The woman put her son in the bathroom to take a bath and when Tyler was about to leave, she appeared in front of the doorway in lingerie and locked the door.

Worthy pushes plan to jail parents that miss parent-teacher conference!

DETROIT (AP) - A Detroit-area prosecutor pushing a proposed statewide law that could jail parents for up to three days for repeatedly missing parent-teacher conferences continues to make her pitch.


Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy told Detroit City Council on Tuesday that "it's time to find any means necessary to get parents involved."

Worthy's plan would require parents to attend at least one conference per year or face jail. Parents of students excelling in school, those whose health issues make travel difficult and parents actively engaged with teachers through e-mail, phone calls or letters would be exempt.


SN:  Is this a bit extreme?  Maybe not...parents really do need to get more involved in  their children's education.

Nicki Minaj fires Diddy as her manger (FINALLY!)

Representatives close to Nicki Minaj released a statement claiming that Nicki Minaj has fired Diddy as her manager and hired another veteran manager, Benny Medina to handle her career. 

“By now, everyone should now that I am really strict when it comes to my representation,” began Minaj in a statement.

“I had sympathy for [Diddy], however I feel as if I haven’t gotten the guidance the manager is supposed to give his client.

Personally, I feel like I’m being managed by mother. Even if you play the smallest role on my team, I wish to see progress.

I’d like to thank him for everything he has done for me; for taking me under his wing. I wish him the best with repping Rick[Ross]. But now that my album is about to drop, its time to get serious and stop playing games.”

SN: I'm really not surprised because never understood why she chose Diddy as her manager.  Diddy is all about bout self!

Gucci Mane checks into rehab

Reportedly Gucci Mane has checked into a 28-day drug rehab center in Georgia.  It has been previously reported that the rapper is addicted to cocaine.  Members of Gucci Mane's Entourage including his manager and lawyer pleaded with Gucci to get help outside the facility causing quite a scene.

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."


Still, another insider says that the singer, who is in her first trimester, realizes that "this is a gift from God and she's so happy."

Friends of the couple are already expressing their well-wishes for the parents-to-be.


"Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be," record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, tells Us. "I wish them the best."

Knowles' sister Solange -- and mom to Julez, 6 -- agrees.

"She's got the most beautiful heart," she tells Us of her big sis. "She'll be a great mom."

The Kardashian girls were out Thursday Night in New York to celebrate Khloe's last night in the NY.  When all hell broke loose.  A drunken fan asked for a picture with Kim and she agreed and then his drunken girlfriend got jealous and threw a drink in Kim's face.  Not to worry because Scott and Khloe were there to protect her from the madness.  Now see that's why celebrity's don't always want to stop and take pics, people don't know how to act!

 Well the word is that Nelly outright denied that the two were an item and Ashanti fired back recently during a radio interview stating that the two are just friends and she nor he has ever claimed one another now.  I'm confused because I have seen several pics of the two together out and about.  What is the big deal?  Why are they both now denying that they ever dated?  OK whatever you say Ashanti!  Sounds like you got played!

T.I. Facing 14 Months of Jail Time

Word on the street is that T.I. is looking to face anywhere from 5-14 months in jail.  Right now his lawyers are working to get him a lesser sentence.  He's very lucky that he is not being forced to complete the time he should have received for his original charge of purchasing machine guns and silencers back in 2007.  Well T.I. will find out for sure his sentence on October 15 @ 2pm.  I love T.I. but this just really disappointed me to the fullest!  I hope he gets it this time.

Mariah celebrated her husband Nick Cannon's 30th birthday this weekend in New York @ LAVO.  From the looks of it the rumors must be true it looks like Mariah has a bun in the oven.  Although the two have been very hush hush on whether the two are expecting a child.  But that's understandable it's not good to speak of a pregnancy to early and it's their busy!  Congrats to the happy couple!  At first I thought their marriage was just a big publicity stun, but now I really like these two as a couple.

NeNe Leakes from Atlanta Housewives is looking a bit different these days.  NeNe spoke with TV Guide about her new nose.  NeNe never confirmed or denied that she had work done on her nose, however she stated that for the record, I am not against plastic surgery.

Beefing with record labels is so 15 years ago. @ this point I just need you all to be very clear where I stand and how I feel about “my label.” I could go on twitter or hot 97 tomorrow and get 100,000 protesters @ your building but I choose to walk my own path my own way because since day one I have been my own man. I did business with Tommy Mottola and Donnie Einer, two of the most psycho dudes this business ever created. I worked well with them for one major reason……. they believed in me. Lost Tapes is a movement and a very important set up piece for my career as it stands. I started this over 5 years ago @ Columbia and nobody knew what it was or what it did but the label put it out as an LP and the fans went crazy for it and I single handlely built a new brand of rap albums. It’s smart and after 5 years it’s still a head of the game. This feels great and you not feeling what I’m feeling is disturbing. Don’t get in the way of my creativity. We are aligned with the stars here, this is a movement. There is a thing called KARMA that comes to haunt you when you tamper with the aligning stars. WE ARE GIVING THE PEOPLE EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT. Stop throwing dog shit on a MAGICAL moment.

R&B Singer "Mario" Arrested For Assulting His Mom!

R&B singer Mario was arrested October 1st for assault.  Reportedly Mario's mom called 911 to report that her son attacked her.  When police arrived they found Mario's mother sitting in the lobby of an apartment in tears.  She told the police that her son was in the apartment throwing things and damaging the property.  The police report states that the two got into a verbal argument earlier in the day when Mario shoved his mother and he fell and hit her head.  WOW is all I have to say!  Why are these young men putting their hands on their mothers?
