The behind the scenes drama between Lil Kim and the Notorious B.I.G.'s estate (otherwise known as Ms. Voletta Wallace) continues. Apparently, the estate has denied clearance of a song that samples Biggie and features Lil Kim.
Monica's song "Anything (to Find You)," which uses a sample of the popular Biggie record "Who Shot Ya" and was produced by Missy Elliott, had originally featured a verse from Lil Kim. But yesterday Monica tweeted that Lil Kim was removed from the record so that it could be approved.

"I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed," Monica wrote. "She’s our friend, a legend & @LilKim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked & I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate."

Monica continued to discuss the situation via Twitter, calling out Ms. Wallace. "We respect all parties involved & were gonna do WHATEVER to keep the song as is because @lilKim the bizness on the record…I am as thorough as they come and I LOVE @LilKim bottom line is Ms Wallace has the final say and she said No," she said. "Your directing your anger in the wrong place & I am far 2deep in the game 2play games. These r facts."

If Monica or her team releases the record with Kim's verse, she risks getting sued.

So what does Ms. Wallace have against Lil Kim?

Here is a interview of Ms. Wallace speaking about Lil Kim back in 2009:

Ms. Wallace is taking off the kid gloves when it comes to Lil Kim in a new interview with Hip Hop Weekly she has a few words for Kim

“Tell Lil Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life! This movie is not about Lil Kim. She felt we used her character to promote but this movie is about my son. … Lil Kim needs to go sit down.”

And Ms. Wallace had this to say about Lil Kim’s saying that Naturi Naughton was too dark..

”She felt the character we chose for her was ‘too dark.’ Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she’s a white woman trapped in a black woman’s body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil’ Kim’s words. She should be ashamed of herself.”
