Reggie Bush has decided to forfeit his Heisman Trophy. However from what I understand if he didn't Forfeit the trophy it was going to be taken. Returning the Heisman has no effect Bush since he is in the pros and a member of Super Bowl championship team.
USC the college where Bush attended, was hit heavy with sanctions by the NCAA this summer after it was determined that Bush and his family received hundreds and thousands of dollars in gifts from California-based marketing agents. The NCAA ruled that bush was ineligible for the 2005 season. One of the few guidelines of the Heisman Trophy is that the player must be in compliance with the NCAA rules to be eligible.
